Customer Challenge
Our customer had limited manufacturing floor space and needed to increase output per square foot. The customer identified eight molds running similar medical devices and discussed improvement options with us.
The Solution
We conducted an onsite cycle time analysis and used in-house computational fluid dynamics to develop a solution. Once the pilot mold proved successful, NyproMold was able to replace the volume produced in the eight molds using just four molds and increased the customer’s capacity by 31%.
The Result
The customer opened up the needed floor space, improved output, and increased profitability.
